BLAZON
SHIELD: Per fess Azure inscribed "USNSCC", in base marshaled, Argent and Gules, a cross bottony countersigned, paly of 6 pieces, Or and Sable, a bend dexter countercharged and Argent and Gules, three mullets above bars.
CREST: From a wreath Or and Azure an eagle Proper superimposed by a fowled anchor Or, beneath the wings dexter the Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist device Or superimposed with the numerals "23" Sable, sinister the Submarine Warfare device Or superimposed with the numerals "757" Sable, above a three-masted ship Proper over scales Or.
MOTTO: In block lettering the motto "SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS" inscribed in black letters.
SUPPORTER: A wreath Gules and Vert.
SEAL
The arms as blazoned in full color upon a white oval enclosed by a dark blue collar edged on the outside with a gold rope and bearing the name "ALEXANDRIA DIVISION" at top and "054 AXV" in base all white.
SYMBOLISM
SHIELD: The shape of the shield and the letters "USNSCC" represent the Naval Sea Cadet Corps. The shield is divided into three sections; the dark blue represents the U.S. Navy as well as the color of the flag of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The lower portions depict representations of the flags of the State of Maryland (left) and the District of Columbia (right), which combined with Virginia comprises the National Capital Region.
CREST: The Division's history as the Flying Midshipmen is signified by the Sea Cadet eagle, with wings turned up as in the Naval Aviator device with a Midshipman collar device over top. The U.S. Navy units associated with the Division are represented below the wings of the eagle. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 23 is represented by a depiction of gold Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist insignia superimposed with the numerals "23". The USS Alexandria, SSN-757 is represented by a depiction of gold Naval Submarine Warfare insignia superimposed with the numerals "757". The three-masted sailing ship and scales is the emblem of the City of Alexandria, the unit's namesake and geographical location.
SUPPORTER: A ring of Virginia Creeper, as it appears on the flag and seal of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
